An Orange Beauty – Sweet Shot Tuesday

I’ve been absent the last couple of weeks from Darcy Milder’s Sweet Shot Tuesday photo challenge.  And, how I’ve missed it so!  I have the perfect photo to share.  This is a proud moment for me. For a few reasons. First, this photo is SOOC (straight out of the camera) – no editing what-so-ever.  I was tempted due to the little blackish brown spot but it just added even more character.  I was also proud that I pulled my butt out of bed at about 5:30am to take the shot just as the sun was rising and a reflection of water droplets could be seen.  However, my final feat that must be shouted to all to hear is that this is not just any rose.  This is the first rose I’ve had bloom.  Coming from a purple thumb gardener, it’s an event that must be tooted aloft.  What’s more, the rose is in one of my most cherished summer colors, a peaches and cream orange julius.  So here you have this week’s TMFH Sweet Shot Tuesday!

Thanks for allowing me to toot my own horn!

Happy Tuesday!
